Stephen R. Smalley, M.D., joined Therapeutic Radiologists, Inc. in 1995.

Dr. Smalley completed his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Smalley completed two fellowships at the Mayo Clinic in medical oncology and radiation oncology. He went on to the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Dr. Smalley has won several awards in the U.S. and Europe for his clinical and basic science research. He has served on numerous national panels and advisory groups in connection with gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancer. Dr. Smalley has authored nearly 100 abstracts, manuscripts, and book chapters.

Dr. Smalley holds the title of Clinical Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is a member of several local, state, and national organizations including the American Medical Association, Southwest Oncology Group, American College of Radiology and the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
