Michael A. Hughes, M.D., joined Therapeutic Radiologists, Inc. in 2005.

Dr. Hughes earned his Bachelor's (1990) and Master's (1994) degree from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. He performed biomedical research at Duke and later at the University of Kansas, publishing original research in the areas of geriatrics, rehabilitation medicine, and biomedical engineering. He subsequently graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2000. His residency training was completed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD in 2005, during which time he published original research in oncology.

Upon completing residency, Dr. Hughes returned to Kansas City with his wife and four children to join Therapeutic Radiologists, Inc. He practices at Menorah Medical Center, utilizing IMRT and CyberKnife stereotactic radiotherapy for all types of cancer. He also practices at the Kansas City Urology Research and Cancer Center, specializing in prostate cancer utilizing IMRT with image guidance.
